There is live Theater, the Pentacle, the only major
theater in Salem, just down the road by 2 blocks as the crow flies.
There are 15 golf courses in and around Salem, one just down the
road a bit by 2 miles on highway 22 West. You can easily make a day
trip to the Oregon Gardens, the beach at Lincoln City for some
beachcombing while passing Spirit Mountain Casino, the biggest draw
in town.
Famous Tulip & Iris farms, lush public gardens and the agricultural
magnitude is supported by a mild climate and many wonderful wineries
and tasting rooms are just minutes away and then there is beautiful
Salem in all
its flowered glory and the Oregon state capitol.
Wine tasting has become a
very popular activity, with the fertile soil and micro climate
ranging from warm to dry
to cool the Oregon wines of the Willamette
Valley have gained international acclaim. The inn is in the middle
of the
wineries and you can visit for a tiny taste or take a day
trip of sampling to nearby vineyards and tasting rooms.
Salem itself with galleries, museums, the Capital
building with tour, with gardens, antique shopping or going to the
cute city of Silverton or McMinnville for sightseeing and as another
daytrip so that you can embrace some of
the culture and natural
beauty of the Salem area , perhaps a picnic .
You can hike or jog in the very exclusive
